Do you think having a due date on the invoice could be more relevant? It seems difficult to predict certain events, such as the "Demolition done," date.
Yes, many times in projects we have to be aware of requesting the payments that help us to the cash flow in the project, not directly for the completed tasks but in the times we plan before starting the work. like when we request the finishes.

Payment milestone date often changes.
