PO - Remaining Balance Based on Invoiced Amounts

Update the Remaining Balance column in purchase orders to reflect the amount still to be invoiced.

Current calculation:
Remaining Balance = PO Total − Amount Paid

Proposed calculation:
Remaining Balance = PO Total − Amount Invoiced

The Vendor Accounts Payable column would continue to show invoiced amounts that remain unpaid. This would clearly distinguish outstanding invoices from amounts not yet invoiced.

Example: $100,000 PO

  • Invoices received: $60,000

  • Amount paid: $40,000

  • Vendor Accounts Payable: $20,000

  • Remaining Balance: $40,000

This would show $40,000 still to be invoiced + $20,000 in unpaid invoices = $60,000 in remaining commitments.

With the current calculation, adding these columns produces $80,000, double-counting the $20,000 in unpaid invoices.

This change would provide a more accurate view of outstanding financial commitments.
