Customizable Add-On Options on Quotes
While the estimate remains unsigned, having optional sections could enhance it. For example, in the flooring section, we could add a line in a distinct color or style, allowing the client or contractor to select or deselect it.
An "Add to Preview Price" button could automatically add the cost to the estimate when checked. In a previous estimating program, I found this "base estimate plus options" method effective for upsells, as clients could simply select additional features, like a linear drain in the shower, with the cost displayed beside it.
Creating a template with essential and optional items as selectable questions could make estimating easier and faster, even for less experienced staff. It reduces the chance of missing items and allows flexibility by marking lines with "price upon inspection" or "further details needed."
Any other suggestions to improve this?

I had a similar idea that could be implemented at the same time
option selectable by the client during estimate.
while the estimate is not signed. it could be interesting to have optional section in the estimate. someting like : by example.
in the flooring section; il could have a line in a different color or any other way to easily differentiate it and this section could be selected or not by the client or the contractor.
someting like a ‘‘add it to preview price” button. that will automatiquely add the price to the estimate if checked. when I was with another estimating program. I was selling more when I was doing the ‘‘base estimate’’ with the minimum then the client was adding the option by itself. you want linear drain in the shower. check the box there it’s xxx$$ more. this way I think it could be faster even when you are doing the estimate. If I( the qualified one in the business) is doing a template with every option that my company has to offer. this mean almost anyone in the business can do the estimate as every essential line is already there and every optional line are in form of a question asked. this mean it’s hard to forget something. it’s easy to write ‘‘price to be determined upon inspection or ‘‘need further detail to be priced’’ when a few line need more thinking.
any suggestion? of anything to add??
