Step-by-step: Create a daily log as an employee using the mobile platform.

  1. Launch the Daily Logs tool

    • On a phone or tablet, open the employee website/portal

    • Tap the Daily Log tile, then Create a New Daily Log.

Note: If you are an administrator, you will need to create an employee profile for yourself. We suggest using your first name as the First Name and “Mobile” as the Last Name.

  1. Select the project

    • Search by street address, client name, or project title.

    • Tap Next to continue.

Note: Only projects that already exist in Billdr can be found. You cannot create a new project in the employee web platform.

  1. Attach site photos or video

    • Choose Camera to snap live pictures or Photo Library to upload multiple images or clips taken earlier.

    • Each file is stored in the log entry’s media gallery.

  2. Add notes

    • Type a concise description of today’s progress, issues, or milestones—these notes give context to the visuals.

  3. Submit the log

    • Tap Submit.

    • All administrators instantly receives a text notification: “Michael Sparks just uploaded a new Daily Log.”

  4. Review logs (admin or employee)

    • In the main Billdr Pro web app, go to Daily Logs in the left-hand menu.

    • Filter by Project, Date, or Submitted By to isolate the information you need.

    • Employees see the same filtered view inside their portal.

  5. Create logs from the admin/office website

    • Admins can also hit New Daily Log directly from the Daily Logs tab—useful for adding superintendent notes or weather delays recorded after hours.

  6. Auto-prompt at clock-out

    • If employees use the Time Clock, they’ll be prompted to create a daily log immediately after punching out—ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.

  7. Project-specific history

    • Open any project and click its Daily Logs sub-tab to view the complete timeline for that single job.

With these steps, every stakeholder stays informed, and you maintain a permanent audit trail of on-site activities.

You can also customize the questions asked to your employees from your settings.
